Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV)
Demand Controlled Ventilation is an Energy Management System which aims to provide an optimum level of heating and cooling for the actual occupancy of the building. DCV uses scheduling as well as a variety of sensors to measure the occupancy level which tells the system how much heating and cooling is needed at any given time. In low-demand times the system will dynamically react and reduce energy costs. In high-demand times the system will provide the optimum level of comfort for its occupants.
Variable/Volume Temperature (VVT)
A Variable Volume/Temperature (VVT) system can meet energy efficiency constraints during peak and partial load conditions while maintaining thermal comfort requirements of occupants. Although there are numerous alternatives available for changeover from an existing inefficient constant-air-volume system, the VVT system is of particular interest due to the favorable economics and minimal time requirements for installation.
